Welcome to our Techucation Christmas special. We’ll discuss what tech we’re hopefully going to receive for Christmas and will reminisce about the best presents we’ve received in the digital era, from our first Nokias to a Nintendo DS. For those of you who are new to the podcast, Techucation consists of three former students who know the struggles that you go through daily: trying to revise whilst fighting the urge to check why your phone is pinging, or cringing at your teacher being unable to use a projector …
We’re here to share our knowledge and experiences of getting through school from our respective eras: offering advice, throwbacks, overcoming distractions, and helping you get the right balance between enjoying your favourite YouTubers and getting those assignments done.
First up is Aimee. As the youngest of the group, Aimee was lucky enough to grow up in an era when DVDs existed and you didn’t have to beg your classmates to Bluetooth you Sean Paul’s latest tune.
Then we have Ffion and Dom, who know the real pain of whiteboards and rewinding videos back to the start every time you wanted to watch them. However, they also know the true joy of seeing that TV and projector being wheeled into class and knowing you’re in for a good time.
