Members of a local fitness club has offered donations to keep the business afloat after facing a hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
Clare Woodward, owner of Evolve Fit in Rogerstone had to transfer her face-to-face community classes to online platforms due to social distancing restrictions.
She said: “The last two weeks have been the most challenging two weeks I’ve ever faced since I’ve worked in this industry”.
The government has announced a grant for self-employed workers worth 80% of their average monthly profits.
Ms Woodward said the support from the government is "very much welcomed right now", but has been told she won’t receive any payouts until June, at the earliest.
One member posted on Facebook offering to donate to help keep the business afloat during this difficult time.
And now further pledges have flooded in from more members in a bid to show their support.
“Without our Evolve family we wouldn’t be where we are today,” she said.
